On April 30th, 2020. The Pi Network developers posted an announcement about the implementation of the ads when using the pi app. These ads in the Pi Network app will help support the Pi Network development. It will cover the cost of the server maintenance and other equipment’s and services that the Pi Core team needed to transition to mainnet or phase 3 and to build a more sustainable funding model for the Pi Network project.
I encourage everyone to turn on the ads and leave it on all the time, this way the Pi Network team can generate funds to help cover the cost of Pi Network project.
